Kids Trends Fancy Dress: Google Business Profile Management
A kids' costume shop opened in Ghaziabad with no website. Its Google Business Profile became its front door. It now shows first in Google's local results for four of the five searches we checked, and people asked Google for directions to the shop 209 times in its first months.
Figures come from the live Google listing and the Business Profile Performance report. The shop opened on 24 July 2026, so July covers only a few days.
The shop
Kids Trends Fancy Dress rents and sells costumes for children, the kind parents look for before a school event, a festival or a fancy dress competition. It was founded by Urvashi Gupta and opened on 24 July 2026 at Gardenia Square, Crossings Republik, Ghaziabad. On Google it is listed as a costume store.
Its profile description promises affordable daily rental rates, sanitization after every use and easy home pickup in Crossings Republik.
The listing shows the shop's name in both English and Hindi.

The challenge: no website, a brand new shop
Most local businesses start with a website and add a Google profile later. Here it was the other way round. The shop had no website, and its phone number was not showing on Google yet. A new shop with no online history had to get found by parents in the area, and it had one place to do it: the Business Profile.
Our approach: make the profile do the work of a website
With no site to send people to, the profile had to answer every first question on its own: what the shop sells, where it is, what the costumes look like and whether other parents trust it. We manage it with that in mind.
Profile management
We manage the shop's verified Business Profile, so it works as the shop's home page on Google and Maps.
Google posts
We create Google posts for the profile to show the shop's costumes and offers.
Performance tracking
We read the Business Profile Performance report to track direction requests and other interactions.
The result: people asking Google how to get to the shop
Direction requests are a useful sign for a local shop, because they show people heading to the location. From July to October 2026, the Business Profile recorded 209 direction requests. The shop opened on 24 July and still has no website. The listing also holds a 5.0 rating from 12 reviews.
A note on the data. The shop opened on 24 July, so July is only a few days, and October is still a partial month. Demand for costumes also usually follows events and festivals, so we read the numbers over longer periods, alongside reviews and views. Google doesn't tell us which direction requests became visits.
Photos that get looked at
With no website, the photos on the profile are the shop's catalogue. Four of the photos on this profile have between 6.18K and 11.3K views each, from Krishna and Radha outfits to an army costume, and the profile also carries the shop's logo and cover poster.
Where the shop shows up on Google
We checked five searches a parent might type. In Google's local results (the "Places" block with the map), the shop came first for four of them and second for the fifth.
| Search | Position in local results | Searched from |

How to read these. These are screenshots of Google's local results taken in October 2026, not a guarantee. Local results change with where the searcher is, the device, the time and whether they are signed in, and "near me" searches depend on how close the searcher is to the shop. We track them over time instead of relying on one check.
What this shows
- You can start getting local customers without a website. For a shop people walk into, a well-managed Business Profile can be enough to begin with.
- Reviews do a lot of the selling. A 5.0 rating gives a parent a quick reason to trust a shop they haven't visited.
- Photos show what the shop actually has. For costumes, a good photo answers the first question before anyone calls.
- Google decides local rankings on relevance, distance and prominence. A complete, active profile helps on the first and third. Distance is outside anyone's control, which is why the same search can show different results in different places.

What the founder says
“We opened Kids Trends without a website, so our Google profile became the way people found us. Customers now find the shop on Google and Maps, and people visit us after searching for kids' costumes. Digital Appears manages the profile for us.”
